Wagner commander Alexei Nagin, 41, nicknamed “Terek”, was killed in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region, reports the website of the Ukrainian station TSN, citing the Telegram channel of the NapalmIndorm investigative community.
Alexei Nagin was liquidated on September 20, according to the cited source.
Leader Wagner was born in the village of Vertiaci in the Volgograd region and was a veteran of military operations. Nagin participated in the battles in Chechnya, Georgia, Syria and Libya, but also in the war in Donbas.
He was awarded the “For Courage” and “For the Defense of Crimea” medals and the “Platinum Star” of the Wagner Group. Alexei Nagin was also awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation.
