The Ministry of Investments and European Projects announced that it transferred the second installment of 250 lei to social cards

The Ministry of European Investments and Projects uploaded, on Friday, August 26, a new installment of 250 lei to the social cards offered through the “Support for Romania” program.

The total value of the second tranche amounts to almost 600,000,000 lei, according to a press release issued by the ministry.

“After sustained efforts on the part of the team and a rigorous analysis of everything the first tranche meant, here we are managing to deliver the 250 lei related to the second tranche faster than we had announced. Today we made the payments for those who already have cards and are still eligible. In total, this installment will reach approximately 2.4 million Romanians and amounts to almost 600 million lei, European money for food and hot meals. So, from next week the beneficiaries will be able to use the amount. These days we are coordinating with the representatives of the card issuers and the Post Office so that the new eligible beneficiaries have the cards as quickly as possible”Minister Marcel BoloČ™ sent.

According to the Ministry of Investments and European Projects, the loading was carried out on Friday for the beneficiaries who came into possession of the cards. Next, until mid-September, the cards will be issued and distributed for the categories of beneficiaries who became eligible after the first installment was granted or who were omitted from it, totaling approximately 91,000 people. For them, the loading related to the II installment will be done until September 23.

A possible exception could occur in the case of people who were not found at home to be handed the card or who did not respond to the notice of the representatives of the Romanian National Post Company, but there is no risk that any of the eligible beneficiaries will not receive this support.
