According to the Ukrainian general who heads the intelligence services in Kyiv, Russia has regrouped in the Kherson area 40,000 soldiers, including the best trained and most capable units, but also many newly mobilized reservists were taken there.

Meanwhile, Russian forces are making no significant progress around the key city of Bakhmut, in the Donetsk region or anywhere else along the front lines, according to the latest analysis by the Institute for the Study of War. But Russia is exaggerating the progress in the Bahmut area, probably to improve morale among the troops that invaded Ukraine, but Bahmut, as well as the other town on the defense line, Siversk, are bombarded incessantly.

In Moscow, during one of the well-known skits, Serghei Shoigu reported to Putin “the end of the partial mobilization,” a move that has drawn protests, fueled tensions, and sent tens of thousands of Russians fleeing the country.

On the other hand, Moscow claims, without evidence, that people from a British naval unit were the ones who blew up the Nord Stream 1 and 2 gas pipelines on September 26.

Igor Konashenkov, spokesman for the Russian Ministry of Defense: “According to available information, representatives of this unit of the British Navy took part in the planning, supply and implementation of a terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on September 26 this year, blowing up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines“.

“Strong explosions”, as the Danish police report stated, destroyed a 50-meter section of the submarine pipelines through which gas was transported from Russia to Europe. German, Swedish and Danish authorities have investigated this act of sabotage, but it is still not known who or what caused the explosions.
