Qualifying tournament for the Teqball World Championships, in Târgu Mureș – News from Mures, News Targu mures

Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9, Sports Hall “Dr. Anton Pongratz” from UMFST Târgu Mureș will host the national qualification tournament for the 2022 Teqball World Championship.

The best Teqball players from Romania will compete to determine the team that will represent our country at the 5th edition of the world competition, a competition that will be hosted by the German city of Nuremberg, between November 23-27, 2022.

In the men’s singles event, the number 1 favorite will be Gyorgydeak Apor, the current number 1 of the event, in the world ranking.

33 athletes entered the competition in Târgu Mureș, in the 5 events: men’s singles and doubles, women’s singles and doubles, mixed doubles. The winners of the 5 trials will represent Romania at the World Championship.

The games will start on Saturday, starting at 10.00, with the finals scheduled for Sunday, starting at 13.00.

The event is organized by the Romanian Teqball Federation, in partnership with the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Sciences and Technology “George Emil Palade” Târgu Mureș, Mureș County Council, Hotel Grand, Jidvei, BS Guarding.
