Deadline, December 31, 2023

According to the information provided by Péter Ferenc, the project aims to make investments in the C12 building of the Mureș County Clinical Hospital, and 54% of the budget will be provided by the Mureș County Council.

“Even if it is submitted by the Mureș County Council, the one who contracts and the one who will actually take the steps to realize this project will be the Mureș County Clinical Hospital. This project was submitted on March 30, 2022, was declared the winner, and the completion date is December 31, 2023. We are currently in the phase where the tender documentation is being prepared and within a few days, or a week or two , will also be put on the website for the auction”, said the president of the Mureș County Council.

“As part of this project, several wards of the County Clinical Hospital will be equipped, such as Intensive Care, Urology, General Surgery, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Plastic Surgery, medical laboratories and specialized outpatient clinics on Gheorghe Marinescu Street number 1”, added Péter Ferenc.

Modernized infrastructure

The manager of the Mureș County Clinical Hospital explained that the project aims to expand, rehabilitate and modernize the infrastructure of medical fluid installations, fire detection, signaling and alarm installations, ventilation and air treatment installations and electrical installations.

“We are trying to complete and modernize the infrastructure part in terms of medical fluids. Medical fluids are necessary due to the fact that we must bring oxygen, compressed air to the head of the patient and at the same time be able to evacuate the gases resulting from there. At the same time, in addition to these, we also have the electrical and driving part of these fluids. The project will consist of an “oxygen factory” that will provide the oxygen needed for the entire building, for all sections that are at the level of the building on Marinescu 1, and especially for Intensive Care and the critically ill, which is especially important in critical situations, as we often had the opportunity to go through during the two and a half years close to the pandemic. It is a project with which the Mureș County Clinical Hospital increases its capacity and safety, especially for medical assistance, especially for the critically ill, and not only for the patients who will be hospitalized in the wards of Marinescu 1″, said Dr. Ovidiu Gîrbovan , which brought public thanks to both the leadership of the Mureș County Council and colleagues from the administrative department.

During the same meeting with the mass media, Dr. Ovidiu Gîrbovan provided information about some of the expected results following the implementation of the project: 122 hospital beds equipped with terminal units of medical fluids – oxygen and vacuum, 10 hospital beds equipped with terminal units of medical fluids – oxygen and compressed air, vacuum, 7 ATI beds equipped with terminal units of medical fluids and 5 operating rooms equipped with terminal units of medical fluids.

At the same time, the building will also benefit from a detection, signaling and alarm system in case of fire and exceeding the maximum allowed oxygen concentration.
