FCSB was humiliated by the Danish team Silkeborg IF also in Bucharest, 5-0 (2-0), on Thursday evening, at the National Arena, in Group B of the Europa Conference League football competition.
FCSB, who managed a number of starters in the tour and lost 0-5, lost at home with the same score, the Danes’ goals being scored by Kasper Kusk (12), Anders Klynge (16), Soeren Tengstedt (63 ) and Sebastian Joergensen (68, 70).
Since 1992, a Romanian team has not lost a double with a general score of 0-10. Then, in the first round of the UEFA Cup, Electroputere was outclassed by Panathinaikos 6-0 in Bania and 4-0 in Athens.
The most drastic overall score, 0-11, belongs to Selena Bacău, who lost in the first round of the Cup Winners’ Cup in 1991, with 0-6 (home) and 0-5 (away), the double with Werder Bremen.
If at Silkeborg, FCSB was already leading 2-0 in the 7th minute, at the National Arena the Danes needed a little more than a quarter of an hour to score two goals.
Silkeborg scored the first time in the min. 12, through Kusk, well found by Helenius on the edge of the box. In min. 15, after an error by Haruţ, Joergensen missed the goal by a millimeter. A minute later, Anders Klynge executed a corner, and Târnovanu incredibly missed the intervention, thus allowing the Dane to score from the corner kick.
An important moment was consumed in min. 60, when Olaru missed alone with the goalkeeper and thus wasted a chance for FCSB to return to the match.
Shortly after, Tengstedt (63) increased the advantage of the guests, after he was employed well in the box by Brink.
The team coached by Nicolae Dică was denied the honor goal, scored in the min. 65 by Miculescu, after Radaslavescu’s cross, but the referee did not see that the ball was rejected by Sonne from beyond the goal line and did not validate the success.
Radaslavescu (67) also missed the honor goal, but the shot was rejected by Larsen.
Silkeborg completed the disaster for the “red-blues”, Joergensen achieving the double in just three minutes, after a slalom through the home team’s box (68), and then with a simple restart from Engel’s cross (70).
FCSB will play Anderlecht on October 27th in Brussels, and West Ham United on November 3rd, but it has no chance to go further.
