Contracts of 260 million euros for the rehabilitation of the district heating network in Bucharest. When the works will be ready

The mayor of Bucharest, Nicușor Dan, announced that contracts worth 260 million euros were awarded in the district heating network.

The mayor announced on Thursday that the works to rehabilitate 210 kilometers of the network will begin in the spring of 2023, and the deadline for completion is four years.

“I announce the awarding of contracts for the rehabilitation of the 210 kilometers of heating network with European funds. It is a work that, according to the award, has a value of 260 million euros, of which 200 million euros are European money. For the rest we will go for a loan. It is possible that for part of the rest we also have European money. It is about design and execution contracts. The term of completion – four years, so as soon as we sign, the design will begin and the works will start in the spring of next year. There are five sections that are approximately 40 kilometers each and each of them has an association of builders. All the builders are Romanian”, said the capital’s mayor, according to News.ro.

Who won the contracts for the heating network in Bucharest

The contract for the design and execution for the rehabilitation of the primary heating network related to the South II Highway was won by the association SC Elsaco Electronic SRL (leader) – SC Sicor SRL (associate) – SC Energomontaj SA (associate), with subcontractors Adrem Engineering SRL and RDC General Contractor SRL.

For the design and execution contract for the rehabilitation of the primary heating network related to Magistrala II-III Grozăveşti, the winner is the association SC Elsaco Electronic SRL (leader) – SC Sicor SRL (associate) – SC Energomontaj SA (associate), having subcontractors on Adrem Engineering SRL and RDC General Contractor SRL.

Asociea Construcţii Erbaşu SA (leader) – Consix Construcţii SRL (associate), having subcontractors Erbaşu Edil Construct SA, Erbaşu Total Construct SA and Elsaco Electronic SRL, won the contract for lot 3 – related to Magistrala V Grozăveşti and for lot 4 – related to Magistrala Progress – Berceni.

Lot 5 – related to the II South, II–III Grozăveşti, V Grozăveşti, Progresu – Berceni, II West, I-II-III West highways was won by the association SC Energomontaj SA (leader) – SC Elsaco Electronic SRL (associate) – Sicor SRL (associate) – IPOT Instalatiţii SRL (associate), having subcontractor RDC General Contractor SRL.

Nicușor Dan listed the big investment projects in Bucharest financed with European money

Nicusor Dan reminded the big investment projects in the Capital that are financed with European money.

“I want to remind you of the status of the big investment projects we are running, all with European money: rehabilitation of 50 kilometers of tram lines – 500 million euros – we are in the procurement process; heating network rehabilitation – 260 million euros – we assigned. Purchases of 100 trams – 200 million euros – we are in the reception procedure with Astra Arad, eight of the 100 trams have already arrived; purchase of electric buses, bids have been submitted – 50 million euros; procurement of trolleybuses, they are in the procurement procedure – 50 million euros; and rehabilitation of buildings with seismic risk, requests submitted to the PNRR of 50 million euros; and there are requests for approximately 30 million euros in the session that opens on Monday, next week”, said the mayor of the Capital.

“In total, over one billion euros and I think that this is the role of the Capital City Hall, to do the big investment projects; and because the budget is the one you know, we must focus on European money and other non-reimbursable funds”, said Nicușor Dan.
